Dry ice blasting as an effective cleaning form

Dry ice blasting is a pressure jet process in which dry ice is used as a medium. It is made of solid carbon dioxide and has a temperature of about -79 °C. Surfaces are deburred with this process. These include, for example, sintered, cast or thermoset parts. The species has many advantages, because carbon dioxide does not conduct electrically, is chemically inert, non-flammable and non-toxic. Outsourcing activities or in-house

Each of the activities listed, of course, requires some utensils, which are more or less expensive. Therefore, the question always arises whether the respective cleaning should be done in-house or by an external supplier. This certainly depends on how often such cleanings are necessary. If this occurs only occasionally, then it is more likely to think of the external service provider. If the cleaning work is part of a production process that is carried out daily, an in-house solution with its own personnel and equipment is worthwhile.
